Intern for Teaching with Primary Sources

Library of Congress, Washington, DC

  • Develop lesson plans surrounding storytelling and story structure for grades k-8 using sources from the Library of Congress’s extensive collection of silent films from the 1890s -1909

  • Write weekly posts for the Teaching with Primary Sources internal database on topics surrounding how to use film in classroom settings

  • Collaborate with internal staff and members of the Teaching with Primary Sources Consortium in designing informal programming for k-8 students using primary sources

KID Museum, Bethesda, Maryland

  • Support public family engagement in maker-based learning experiences

  • Engage with family groups in open ended activities focused on STEAM principles; including electronics, textiles, and woodworking

  • Created one full research box which combined five student friendly (3rd-8th grade) resources and utilized various research rooms including the Rare Book Collection

Alice Deal Middle School, Washington, DC

  • Created and Facilitated one field trip personalized for a class of sixteen Eighth Graders to the “Americans” exhibit at the National Museum of the American Indian which combined their English and History Curriculums

  • Produced weekly lesson plans in accordance to the IB Curriculum, shared to each home room

Estate Guide

Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library, ​Winterthur, Delaware

  • Provided up to five guided tours of the property's gardens per day, focusing on the history of the du Pont family spanning over 150 years and the history of garden horticulture

  • Delivered introduction interpretation to site through the shuttle transportation service

  • Conducted independent research on the du Pont family and horticulture to better interpret the site to visitors

Museum Educator

Baltimore Museum of Industry

  • Conducted multiple daily in person tours of the museum focusing on Baltimore’s Industrial History

  • Lead virtual learning tours of the museum for elementary aged students via Zoom, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams

  • Worked directly with students in grades PreK- 12 through tours and educational programs

  • Directed, produced, narrated, and edited educational film for Auto Industry Program

  • Recorded narration for audio guide segment featuring the Baltimore Oyster Industry

  • Edited six videos to accompany audio guides for the museum's YouTube channel
